Available features depend on the user's plan, workspace, location, role and applicable service configuration.

4. Not a bank or financial institution

BEGƏW is software. Unless expressly stated otherwise and appropriately licensed, we do not:

  • accept deposits
  • hold customer funds
  • operate bank accounts or provide banking services
  • execute regulated payment services ourselves
  • guarantee investment returns
  • provide securities brokerage
  • provide insurance
  • provide regulated investment management

Payments are processed through authorised third-party payment providers.

5. Accounting, tax and financial disclaimer

BEGƏW provides accounting software and financial-management tools. Outputs, classifications, calculations, reports, tax-readiness information, suggestions and automated recommendations are provided to assist users and do not automatically constitute a statutory audit, certified financial statements, tax advice, legal advice, investment advice, regulated financial advice or professional accounting advice.

Users remain responsible for reviewing information and for obtaining qualified professional advice where necessary. Use of BEGƏW alone does not make a company compliant with every Cameroon, CEMAC or other accounting, tax or regulatory requirement.

6. Accounting framework

Where BEGƏW supports OHADA/SYSCOHADA accounting, the system is designed to support the applicable accounting workflows and structures. Users remain responsible for:

  • selecting the appropriate accounting treatment
  • providing accurate source information
  • reviewing classifications
  • approving transactions
  • ensuring statutory compliance
  • obtaining professional review where required

7. User accounts

Users must provide accurate information, maintain account security, keep authentication information confidential, notify us of suspected unauthorised access, refrain from sharing accounts improperly, refrain from impersonating another person and refrain from creating fraudulent accounts.

8. Business workspaces and roles

Company administrators are responsible for assigning roles, controlling permissions, reviewing users, removing former users, protecting company information and ensuring authorised use.

Users must not attempt to access information outside their assigned workspace or permissions.

9. User content and financial records

Users retain their rights in the information they submit, subject to the rights necessary for us to operate BEGƏW. Users grant us the limited rights necessary to host, store, process, transmit, back up, display, analyse as necessary to provide requested functionality, secure, maintain and improve the service, in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

We do not use confidential customer financial information for unrelated commercial purposes.

10. User responsibility for data

Users are responsible for ensuring they have the right and authority to upload information concerning employees, customers, suppliers, family members, business partners, bank accounts, financial transactions and other individuals. Users must not upload information that was unlawfully obtained.

11. Uploads and automated classification

BEGƏW may analyse uploaded files and transactions to identify columns, extract information, suggest transaction types, categories and accounts, detect possible duplicates, identify possible matches and propose accounting treatments.

Suggestions must be reviewed by authorised users where required, and users remain responsible for final approval of accounting information.

12. Subscriptions and plans

BEGƏW is offered through subscription bundles, currently WATER, FUFU, ACHU and NKWII. Features, limits and prices may differ by plan.

We may offer preferential pricing, negotiated pricing, quotations or promotional offers. The applicable price is the price clearly presented to the customer and accepted through the applicable subscription or quotation process.

13. Experience period

New accounts receive a Welcome Access period during which BEGƏW may be used without payment and without card details. The eligibility, duration, available features, any upload restrictions, payment requirements and conversion rules are displayed in the application.

We may modify future trial arrangements, provided existing contractual rights are respected.

14. Payments

Subscription payments are processed by authorised payment partners. By confirming a payment you authorise the selected payment provider and BEGƏW to process the applicable subscription payment.

You are responsible for providing accurate payment information through the authorised payment flow. Failed payments may result in suspension or restriction of paid features after appropriate notice.

15. Preferential pricing and quotations

A quotation or preferential price is not binding on the customer until accepted where acceptance is required. Once accepted, the agreed subscription price and relevant terms are recorded in the account. A quotation may expire according to its stated validity period.

16. Cancellation and suspension

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary because of serious breach of these Terms, fraud, unlawful activity, security threats, non-payment, abuse, attempts to compromise the service, misuse of another user's information, or legal or regulatory requirements.

Where reasonably possible, we will give notice and an opportunity to remedy the breach.

17. Data after cancellation

Users may close an account or a company workspace from within the application, and may export their records using the export features available to their plan and role before doing so.

After closure, records are retained for the period required by applicable accounting, tax and legal obligations, and are then deleted or anonymised. Information that must lawfully be retained cannot be deleted immediately on request.

18. Prohibited use

Users must not:

  • reverse engineer the service, except where legally permitted
  • bypass security or circumvent subscription restrictions
  • access another user's workspace
  • introduce malware or knowingly upload malicious files
  • attempt unauthorised penetration
  • scrape protected information or overload infrastructure
  • use the service for unlawful activity or to facilitate financial crime
  • manipulate accounting records fraudulently
  • interfere with another user's use of the service
  • attempt to extract proprietary source code or confidential system information

19. Intellectual property

BEGƏW, its software, branding, interface, designs, documentation, logos, trademarks, algorithms, workflows and proprietary technology are owned by or licensed to DGV Group Ltd or its licensors. BEGƏW and its associated branding belong to or are controlled by DGV Group Ltd to the extent applicable.

Users receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use BEGƏW during the applicable subscription or service period. No ownership of the BEGƏW software is transferred to users.

20. Feedback

If you provide suggestions or feedback, we may use it to improve BEGƏW. This does not transfer ownership of your underlying financial data.

21. Availability

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The service may be temporarily unavailable because of maintenance, upgrades, security incidents, infrastructure failures, telecommunications failures, payment-provider failures, third-party outages or events beyond our reasonable control.

22. Backups and data recovery

We maintain reasonable backup and recovery procedures appropriate to the service. Users should nevertheless keep their own records and exports, particularly for legally significant accounting and tax records.

23. Security

Users must not attempt to compromise the security of BEGƏW. We implement reasonable technical and organisational security controls but cannot guarantee absolute security.

24. Third-party services

BEGƏW may integrate with third-party services such as payment providers, email services, cloud infrastructure, authentication services, calendar services and communication services. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies, and we are not responsible for independent third-party services beyond our reasonable control.

25. Professional responsibility

Where BEGƏW is used by an accountant, bookkeeper, auditor, consultant, company or other professional, that professional remains responsible for the work they perform and the decisions they make using the software. BEGƏW does not replace professional judgment.

26. Service provided “as is”

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BEGƏW is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. DGV Group Ltd does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, free of inaccuracies, fit for a particular purpose, compliant with the specific requirements of any individual user, or that any automated classification, calculation, report or insight will be complete or accurate.

All warranties, conditions and representations not expressly stated in these Terms are excluded to the fullest extent permitted by law. Nothing in this section excludes any warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

27. No reliance

Users acknowledge that they do not rely on any statement, demonstration, marketing material or representation that is not expressly set out in these Terms, and that decisions taken on the basis of information produced by BEGƏW are taken at the user's own responsibility.

28. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, DGV Group Ltd, its group companies, directors, employees, agents and suppliers will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive or special losses, nor for loss of profit, revenue, savings, goodwill, business opportunity, data or anticipated benefit, arising from or connected with use of the service, including losses resulting from:

  • incorrect, incomplete or unauthorised user input
  • classifications, suggestions or reports approved or relied upon by users
  • failure to review, verify or export records
  • user decisions based on automated suggestions, insights or forecasts
  • penalties, interest, assessments or sanctions imposed by any tax, regulatory or other authority
  • third-party service, payment-provider, telecommunications or infrastructure failures
  • unauthorised access, loss or corruption of data not reasonably preventable despite appropriate security measures
  • acts or omissions of a user's own administrators, staff, advisers or invited members
  • business interruption or reputational harm

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the total aggregate liability of DGV Group Ltd for all claims arising in any twelve-month period, whether in contract, tort, statute or otherwise, shall not exceed the total subscription fees actually paid by the user to DGV Group Ltd for BEGƏW in the twelve months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. Where no fees were paid, liability shall not exceed a nominal amount permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

29. Time limit for claims

To the extent permitted by applicable law, any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the service must be brought within twelve (12) months of the date on which the claimant became aware, or ought reasonably to have become aware, of the facts giving rise to the claim. Mandatory statutory limitation periods that cannot lawfully be shortened continue to apply.

30. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by applicable law, each user shall indemnify and hold harmless DGV Group Ltd, its group companies, directors, employees and agents against claims, proceedings, losses, damages, fines and reasonable legal costs arising from:

  • unlawful, fraudulent or unauthorised use of BEGƏW
  • breach of these Terms or of applicable law
  • infringement of third-party rights, including intellectual-property and data-protection rights
  • data uploaded without the necessary right, authority or consent
  • content, records or instructions provided by the user or by persons the user has authorised
  • third-party claims by the user's own customers, employees, members or advisers relating to records maintained in BEGƏW

31. Force majeure

DGV Group Ltd is not liable for any delay or failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including natural events, fire, flood, epidemic, war, civil unrest, strikes, governmental or regulatory action, sanctions, failure of electricity, internet, telecommunications, payment-provider, cloud-infrastructure or other third-party services, and cyber-attacks despite appropriate security measures.

32. Confidentiality

Each party shall keep confidential the non-public information of the other party that it receives in connection with the service, and use it only as necessary for the purposes of these Terms. This does not apply to information that is or becomes public other than through breach, is independently developed, or must be disclosed under applicable law or a lawful authority's request.

33. Beta, preview and optional features

Some features may be offered as beta, preview, pilot or optional functionality. These are provided without warranty of any kind, may be changed, limited or withdrawn at any time, and should not be relied upon for statutory or business-critical purposes.

34. Accuracy of user records and audit

Users are solely responsible for the accuracy, completeness, legality and timeliness of the records they maintain in BEGƏW and for retaining their own copies of statutory records. Where a user's records are examined by an auditor, tax authority or other third party, that examination and its outcome remain the user's responsibility.

35. Assignment

Users may not assign or transfer their rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent. DGV Group Ltd may assign these Terms to a group company or to a successor in connection with a lawful corporate transaction, provided user rights are not materially diminished.

36. No waiver and no partnership

A failure or delay in enforcing any provision of these Terms is not a waiver of that provision or of any other right. Nothing in these Terms creates a partnership, joint venture, agency or employment relationship between the parties.

37. Notices

Notices to DGV Group Ltd should be sent to info@dgv.solutions. Notices to users may be given through the email address registered on the account or through an in-application notice, and are treated as received when sent, unless applicable law requires otherwise.

38. Changes to BEGƏW

We may modify or improve features. Material changes affecting customers are communicated appropriately.

39. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. The current version is published on this public page with its effective and last-updated dates, and previous accepted versions are preserved in our records. Where applicable law requires affirmative acceptance of material changes, an acceptance step is presented in the application. Continued use after an update takes effect, where permitted by law, constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

41. Governing law

These Terms are governed primarily by the laws of the Republic of Cameroon, subject to mandatory provisions of applicable CEMAC law and any mandatory laws applicable to the user or transaction.

Where a customer is located in another jurisdiction, mandatory consumer and data-protection provisions that cannot lawfully be excluded continue to apply.

42. Dispute resolution

The parties shall first attempt to resolve any dispute in good faith through the BEGƏW support and contact process for a period of thirty (30) days. Where a dispute remains unresolved, it shall be submitted to the competent courts of Cameroon, or to another competent dispute-resolution mechanism applicable under the governing law, subject to any mandatory consumer or other statutory rights of the user.

Each party bears its own costs unless the competent forum decides otherwise.

43. Survival

Provisions that by their nature should survive termination — including those on intellectual property, confidentiality, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, governing law and dispute resolution — continue to apply after these Terms end.

44. Severability

If any provision is found invalid or unenforceable, it shall be limited or removed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions remain effective to the extent permitted by law.

45. Language and interpretation

These Terms are prepared in English. Where a translation is provided for convenience and there is a conflict, the English version prevails to the extent permitted by applicable law. Headings are for convenience only.

46. Entire agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any applicable subscription or quotation terms, constitute the entire agreement governing use of BEGƏW and supersede prior discussions, subject to mandatory law.
